Dance4Life has begun expanding to South America by setting up programmes in Brazil and Mexico!

Dance4Life Brazil will work with in-school and out-of-school youth in three states (Pernambuco, Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo) directly reaching approximately 13,500 young people and many more youth and adults through the campaign and advocacy activities in the coming year.

Gilberto Gil, the Brazilian singer, guitarist and songwriter, and the country's current Minister of Culture, said about Dance4Life in 2006:

"Dance4Life can bring mobilisation, action, a consciousness about what we should do, togetherness, love, affection, commitment, all of that."
